What are plastic quick connectors made of?
Plastic quick connector is manufactured from safe, non-toxic and lead-free materials. For a SAE connector, they are usually made from one or two inner O-rings, a retaining spring, a retaining ring, a spacer, a fir-tree O-ring. PA66, PA12 are common plastic material for a quick connector. VDA connector is different with SAE one, which is usually without inner O-rings. Plastic quick connect fittings are ideal for use in water systems, pneumatic systems, and food and beverage services. They work well for applications like point of use filtration systems, water dispensing systems, ice makers and refrigerators.
